For a truly unique piece of Japanese calligraphy, we use high-quality organic materials and offer a bespoke art commission service tailored to your vision.

 

 

FRAMED/UNFRAMED ART 

 

-A4 size (21 x 30cm):from £1000  

 – A3 size (30 x 40cm):from £1500 

– A2 size (40 x 60cm):from £2000

 – A1 size (64 x 91cm):from £2500

*Materials: Japanese washi paper, sumi ink, organic glue, organic red seal ink.

–Frame and copyright are not included.

–Custom Urauchi Mounting included-Once the original artwork is complete, it undergoes wetting, flattening, strengthening, and is hand-glued with another layer of wet washi paper before framing

–Custom Framing is available with a lead time from two weeks — please request a quote

ABOUT ARTWORK

 

Japanese calligraphy is both a personal and spiritual art form.
Each piece is created in a single moment, shaped by countless subtle factors unique to that exact time. Once that moment has passed, it can never be recreated in exactly the same way.

Unlike a graphic designer or painter, who can make small adjustments, a calligrapher cannot simply “tweak” a stroke. It may take over a hundred attempts before a single work meets the calligrapher’s vision.

We therefore ask that you provide as much detail as possible about the type(s) of calligraphy you would like before placing your request. During the process, we may need to contact you via WhatsApp or email for further clarification, ensuring we meet your vision in the best possible way.

To ensure accuracy and clarity, we accept orders only in writing, not by phone.

 

 

 

HOW TO ORDER 

 

1. SEND ENQUIRY FORM  

Share your ideas and requirements using the form below. Please include:

  • Reference images showing preferred style (e.g. strong, energetic, smooth, soft)

  • The context or purpose for the artwork

  • Deadline

  • Budget

  • Any special meanings or symbolism to include

The more detail you provide, the more inspiration we will have to create your unique and meaningful design.

 

 

2. CONSULTATION

We will review your ideas and may propose several design options, along with price guidelines and estimated timescales (from a few days to a couple of months).
To ensure accuracy, we may contact you via email during the process until we fully understand your vision. Once the design, price, and timeline are agreed upon, we will issue an invoice. 

 

 

3. PAYMENT

Full payment is required in advance via bank transfer.


Please note: Redesigns are not offered except in exceptional circumstances. Additional redesigns may be available for an extra fee.  

 

4. DELIVERY OF ARTWORK
